Tablet From Samsung

Sudah sebulan lamanya saya memiliki tablet samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (GT-P3100) ini. Sebelumnya saya mengenal Android melalui Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 yang telah saya “upgrade” dari Eclair (v2.1) menjadi Jelly Bean (4.1.2) versi miniCM10. Menggunakan platform Android tak ubahnya seperti menggunakan komputer, bisa di “tweak”, upgrade, overclock,dll. Inilah salah satu alasan saya memilih produk Android untuk yang kedua kalinya bila dibandingkan dengan platform lainnya.

Awalnya saya ingin mencari tablet yang bisa mendukung aktivitas kerja saya di lapangan, sangat penting untuk selalu membawa technical book dari unit yang saya tangani. Pilihan yang tepat adalah membeli tablet dengan kemampuan membaca PDF dan Editor Office, daripada membawa laptop. Setelah survei sana-sini akhirnya saya memilih GaTab2 ini, sudah banyak review tentang tablet ini, namun secara teknis yang lebih lengkap bisa Anda dapatkan di www.gsmarena.com. Berikut sharing pengalaman –feeling- saya menggunakan GaTab2  7.0:

Design (4/5)
Layar 7” cukup melegakan, tangan saya tidak cepat lelah menggenggam tablet 345gram ini, baik secara normal maupun sambil santai tidur-tiduran baik posisi tablet portrait atau landscape. Soal kejernihan layar sudah oke, meski baru (170 ppi pixel density). Kualitas suara cukup jernih, cuma yang agak mengganggu adalah suara speaker yang tertutup tangan ketika digunakan landscape (tulisan Samsung  ada ditangan kanan kita).  Memang secara default, GaTab 2 7.0 ini digunakan secara portrait/berdiri. Overall, designnya cukup baik, tombol-tombol diletakkan pada tempat yang tepat. Untuk memori internal aktual hanya sekitar 11 GB dari 16GB, sisanya digunakan sistem.

User Interface (Score: 4.5/5)
Saat saya unboxing, versi Androidnya sudah ICS 4.0.3, setelah itu saya upgrade –disarankan- menjadi ICS 4.0.4 via Online langung dari GaTab2 (sekitar 114MB). Interfacenya secara umum sama. Menu aplikasi ada di kanan atas layar, mudah dijangkau bila dalam posisi landscape. Bila dalam posisi portrait agak sulit, tapi bisa diatasi dengan mengganti tombol “screencapture” dibawah dengan shortcut menu aplikasi biar lebih cepat aksesnya (versi 4.0.4). Secara umum, tablet ini cukup responsif, kecuali saat loading menu homescreen saat dirotasi landscape ke portrait/sebaliknya. Agak tersendat untuk refreshnya.
Info terbaru dalam waktu dekat, Samsung akan menggulirkan update OS terbaru Android Jelly Bean di Indonesia, jadi tunggu saja.

Entertainment (Score:  3.5/5 for camera, 4.5/5 for other)
Berhenti complain soal kamera tablet ini, tablet ini memang bukan untuk memphoto dengan kualitas yang bagus (makanya harga bisa dipangkas), tapi lebih kearah internet dan connectivity-nya. Camera rear: 3,15MP, fixed focus; Camera front: VGA. Dan jangan pula dibandingkan dengan tablet GaTab 7 Plus, jelas tidak sebanding. Jika  dibandingkan dengan Google Nexus 7 baru setara. Untuk entertainment lain seperti video player, music player, dan gallerynya sudah terbaik dikelasnya. Saya tidak perlu menginstall video player tambahan.

Internet & Connectivity  (Score:  5/5)
Browser bawaan cepat dari biasanya –tergantung koneksi anda-! Saya tidak perlu menginstall browser lain lagi (Opera,dll). Selain itu sudah support Flash. Wi-Fi dan Bluetooth juga cepat. Saya sering menggunakan Tethering dan portable wi-fi , tablet ini jadi modem, lalu dikoneksikan ke komputer (maximum 10 device terkoneksi).  Untuk USB on-the-go, saya sudah coba koneksikan USB Kingston 4GB via adapter langung ke GaTab2 ini dan berhasil. Namun bila dikoneksikan dengan optical mouse (wire) tidak terdeteksi, daya listrik GaTab2 tidak mampu. Bbila dicoba dengan optical mouse (wireless) berhasil, karena daya mouse disupply dari battery external. Kemudian aplikasi Google berjalan sempurna, khususnya Maps, GPS akurat dan realtime –tergantung koneksi anda-.

Battery Life (4.0/5)
Battery tablet/phone android boros? Itu Relatif, tergantung anda sendiri. Penggunaan normal saya sekitar 15 jam (internet, game, nonton film; kondisi auto sync OFF, power saving OFF). Pernah 1 hari lebih dengan penggunaan normal  (kondisi auto sync OFF, power saving ON, All samsung apps deactive).

Tips&Suggests
Saran saya –yang sudah saya terapkan selama ini-, KNOW YOUR DEVICE FUNCTION, MINIMUM 80%. Dengan mengetahui lebih banyak tentang “apa yang sedang terjadi pada device Anda” beserta fungsinya. Penggunaan device akan optimal. Contoh kasus seperti battery boros itu bisa di atasi. Belajar dan mencoba setting pada device Anda, lalu perhatikan performa dan perubahannya.

This isn’t love story note
This is a note about love

Talk about love. Everyone loves it. Many poems, songs, and movies take-part to describe what a love is. When you’re fall in love with somebody, you can’t sleep well, and most of your times are waste to think of someone, indeed. Suddenly you’re become man of letters. Write a lot of melancholic poems to express the feeling. Others rise from the coward man to the brave hero. No wonder, you’re got a nice smiling face. It seems this earth already all yours. Yes, you’re the man.

Now, Our conversation lead to what are you looking for someone that you love? There are four factors we’ll be talk about: handsomeness/prettiness, wealth, descent, and religiousness. Be careful, when you decide to marry someone, a lot of consideration must be made. So let me share my thought.

A. Handsomeness/prettiness

Naturally, everyone likes handsome/pretty person. “Hey, look at that girl, she’s so pretty!” first impression always comes to physical appearance. But try to look deeper, about his/her personality, habit, thought, way of life, like/dislike, etc. Are you wanted to be married by someone who has handsome/pretty face but also evil mind? Never!
Absolutely, you may choose the nice one. But you should know up front, this isn’t enough to build a happy family. Trust me. In a few years later, we’re getting old you know. Handsomeness/prettiness is just hold out for a moment.
A handsome husband or pretty wife with lacking of religiousness is definitely burden for you. They don’t care to keep their courtesy. As you can see, a lot of marriage crushed by affairs.

B. Wealth

Others laid their interest at wealth. By married with a rich person, we wouldn’t worry about our needs. It’s all about money and property. Let me ask you directly: “Are you sure that you’ll be happy with this?” Life is not only appreciated by wealth. But, it’s your choice.
And once again, a rich husband or wife with lacking of religiousness is definitely burden for you. They would look down at you when you’re not rich as they are. Sometimes they humiliate your poorness. Many worst things happen.

C. Descent

It’s an honor if you’re married with person from a noble family. You’ll improve your generation degree. A person from a good descent usually has good respect and habit. They married with a good descent too. No wonder, a good woman will be married by a good man. It’s common in our country. The family usually has strict consideration to the person that will be married their family member.
Don’t forget, a husband or wife from a good descent with lacking of religiousness is definitely burden for you too. They would look down at you who came from ordinary family. Humiliate your family. Could you bear it?

D. Religiousness
The most important factor in your choice. We’ve already know after we face death, we’re going to heaven or hell based on our deed while we’re live. By building family based on religiousness, we make a path to heaven. We put religion as the first foundation. Why?
A religious husband or wife is definitely good for you. They care to keep their courtesy and keep their marriage far from affairs. They would NOT look down at you when you’re not rich as they are or has ordinary family degree. They DON’T humiliate your poorness and family. Because they afraid to do that, we’re afraid to our God, Allah ‘Azza Wa Jalla.
When there are problems, a family with good religion knowledge will do best to puss down their anger. Always do best to talk with kind words. Never ever let evil disturb their family with such a calumniation.

So, what are you looking for someone that you love?
A true love is only come from the source of kindness: Religion. Absolutely. Let’s try to put religiousness as our first priority and the other factors follow.
